Thanks to everyone who made it out for my show at East End last month about Music Photograpy. I just added more photos to the site and am working on some new projects so check back soon.

I’m participating in a first Thursday event at City Hall on August 7. It’s a group show titled “Picturing: Portland, People, and Places.” It’ll be in Commisioner Sam Adams office. Although he’s a hip politician, the photos will be appropriate enough for a government institution. The reception is from 5-7PM. City Hall is located at 1221 SW 4th Ave near the Giant Elk statue. The Oregonian wrote a feature about my neighborhood and Capsule, it was on the front page of the Living section last month. I can’t seem to find it online but have extra copies if you want one.

I’m opening up an Art Gallery and Studio with two other female artists. The studio will feature photography, custom painted portraits and some mixed media items. For the first exhibit we’ll be showing a series about Masturbation that Marie Peller, one of the curators, and I have been working on for a year and a half. Our opening party will be Friday, May 9 at 8PM. Join us for art and booze! Just Out wrote an article about the exhibit, read about it here.

My Shifty-eyed dog photo won a contest in Just Out newspaper.

Also, I’ll be showing some of my work at the Matchbox Lounge on 3203 SE Division St in Portland during the month of July. Come check it out, have a scotch and try their delicious food.
