Music Fest NW Saturday, September 11 @ Mississippi Studios. Mynabirds, Portland Cello Project and Crooked Fingers.
Janet Weiss played drums with the Portland Cello Project. Since she’s such a loud drummer, they had to put a plexiglass barrier around her to tone it down.

Music Fest NW Friday, September 10 @ the Crystal Ballroom.
“Music Fest NW, I love you. I love the talented bands, the rush of zipping around town to photograph the next show, and the free booze with dear friends and music nerds at the end of the night. I love you even when I don’t get to go to bed till 4:30am and have to get up at 5:15am for work in the morning. Pearl vodka and Jack DanieIs, I don’t love you so much but I’m okay with our late night encounters during this time.” Thats all I have to say.

Last Friday I went to a taping of LiveWire! at the Alberta Rose Theater to see Bobby Bare Jr and the Corin Tucker Band play some songs. I was only able to stay for the first CTB song then had to jet over to the Crystal Ballroom for a different Bobby Bare Junior performance. This was a CTB teaser before their first official show at the Aladdin Theater on October 7th and it sounded really good. I can’t wait!
